On the occasion of the feast of the Resurrection of the Lord, His Beatitude Partiarch Daniel, Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church sent a message to all the faithful in which he underlined the testimonial and prophetic nature of the Resurrection Troparion. “The Resurrection of Christ shows us the victory of His meek and merciful love over sin, as selfish existence, and over death, as separation of soul from body, in order to give the world a new life, an eternal heavenly life. In this way, the final destination of man is not the grave, but the Kingdom of Heaven”, His Beatitude asserts.
In addition, the Primate of the Romanian Orthodox Church drew the attention of the public to the fact that the year 2021 is dedicated to the pastoral care of Romanians who live outside of their country’s borders, urging them to preserve „the Christian Orthodox faith, together with the values of Romanian spirituality, while appreciating the hospitality of the countries in which they currently reside”.
